the back, a larger bow on the left side,
has a black ostrich feather in front, the
brim in front is black velvet, with black
lace framing the face. bonnet is lined in
off white cotton gauze, lining has a rust
stain in the center, the bonnet ties with
black silk ribbon, these ties are
shattering, also the silk in back close to
the neck, otherwise the bonnet would be in
mint condition. .

Mourning hat. Black velvet bonnet. Black
silk ties, for under the chin. Back of the
bonnet has 6- 1/2 inch velvet pleats. The
front of the bonnet has black silk flowers
and 2 silk pansies with lilac trim and
medium purple velvet leaves. The black
silk ribbon ties are shattering and some
wear on the velvet in spots. Otherwise
it's in Good Condition.

Indoor Cap. White on white cotton gauze
check pattern. 2 inch cotton ruffle trim
around the face, the cotton ruffle has 2-
1/4 inch tucks and 1/2 inch lace trim. Cap
has ties at the neck like a bonnet. The
only flaws that I see are 3 small dot age
spots on the ruffle not noticeable. This
cap is all hand sewn even the tucks on the
ruffle and the hand crochet lace trim.
Near mint condition.

The hat has some worn spots on the velvet.
The brim top edge all the way around is
worn and on the top their are a couple of
tiny worn spots. The silk lining has a few
tiny holes otherwise the hat is in Great
Condition. 23 inches around inside.

brim folds back and is trimmed with 1/2
inch white lace. piping around the crown .
back of bonnet and curtain are a white on
white check. Curtain is 9 inches long. The
bonnet ties with 3 inch wide purple silk
ribbon. This bonnet is all hand sewn. 3
tiny holes in the curtain otherwise it's
in Excellent Condition.
